Jédula between Festivals, Archaeology and Farmland
At the beginning of June, the Feria de Jédula takes place in Jédula. The 2026 Feria de Jédula was scheduled to include live music, traditional activities and horseback rides. This gives the town’s events calendar a clear focal date, while the religious programme provides another insight into local traditions: in September, the Solemne Procesión de Alabanzas de Nuestra Señora de la Salud passes through the streets of the parish. Jédula’s religious programme also includes the procession of the Rosario de Antorchas.
Los Potros and the Region’s History
The Los Potros archaeological site is located in Jédula, within the municipality of Arcos de la Frontera in Cádiz. Los Potros includes silos containing abundant ceramic material from the Islamic period. Funerary structures have also been identified there. Structures with different functions were also uncovered at the site. These individual findings make Los Potros a direct destination for visitors interested in the material traces of different uses and periods.

Landscape along El Tren del Azúcar
El Tren del Azúcar is an 8.1 km-long semicircular route. The now-abandoned and dismantled course of El Tren del Azúcar shapes a landscape of hills with cultivated fields and fallow land, extending as far as the old Jédula railway station. The character of the landscape therefore lies both in the route itself and in the changing areas along the way.
