Culture and Pilgrimage

Every year on September 7, Albox hosts the religious pilgrimage to the Santuario del Saliente; it begins at the Plaza Mayor de Albox, follows the course of the Rambla to the sanctuary, and is recognized as a festival of tourist interest in Andalusia.

The Santuario de la Virgen del Saliente stands on Monte Roel in the Sierra de las Estancias and was built in the 18th century.
