Inside, Christ of Mercy is venerated; he is credited with saving Chipiona from the flooding caused by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake.

Rocío Jurado and Moscatel

The Centro de Interpretación “Rocío Jurado” focuses on the life and work of Rocío Jurado. Recreated rooms, clothing, photographs, personal items and awards from the collection are displayed there. Moscatel is also closely associated with Chipiona: it is aged in American oak barrels and produced exclusively in the Chipiona area.

Beaches, El Pinar and the Guadalquivir estuary

Chipiona’s beaches—including Regla, del Camarón, Tres Piedras, Cruz del Mar, Las Canteras, Montijo and La Ballena—are suitable for water sports.
