Gor: Sierra de Baza, Trails and Festivals
The municipality of Gor is located in the Sierra de Baza Nature Park. A 55.9 km cycling tour runs through the western part of this nature park, connecting the town of Baza with the village of Gor. Thus, both the nature park and the connection between Baza and Gor form part of the geographical setting of the described routes. The tour's destination is later in the town centre of Gor, where the route ends at a named fountain and a washhouse.
Nature
The linear Minas de la Cruz hiking trail is 1,261 metres long and takes approximately 20 minutes. Its difficulty level is low. On the section along the forest track, the trail can be partially traversed by bicycle. At the end of the trail are the old Minas de la Cruz. There you will find a reconstruction of the mining headframe that once stood there. The length, approximate duration and difficulty level describe the trail, along with its linear form and the stated endpoint. The section along the forest track supplements this information with the possibility of partially travelling it by bicycle. A picnic with local products is included on the hiking routes of the Granada Geopark. For planning your time, the approximately 20 minutes of the hiking trail and the 55.9 kilometres of the cycling tour are provided as separate route distances.
Cycling
The cycling tour from Baza to Gor ends in the town centre of Gor at the Fuente de los Siete CaƱos, next to the washhouse. The route through the western part of the nature park and the connection from the town of Baza to the village of Gor belong to the same 55.9-kilometre route. At the end, Gor, the Fuente de los Siete CaƱos and the adjacent washhouse are therefore named points on the cycling tour.

History
Las Angosturas is a significant archaeological site in the municipality of Gor. The site includes Iberian, Byzantine and Arab remains. A burial is located at Las Angosturas. It dates from approximately 2300 BC and contains rich and extensive grave goods. The various remains and the burial are therefore among the explicitly mentioned historical elements of Las Angosturas. The castle of Gor has three towers. It also includes remnants of walls. The castle was the residence of the Duke of Gor, the lord of the village. The towers, wall remnants and the former residence of the duke constitute the named architectural and historical references of the castle.
Festivals
The patron-saint festivities in honour of San Cayetano are celebrated in Gor from 6 to 10 August inclusive. The traditional San Blas festival takes place on 3 February. On the eve, it includes a vigil for the saint. The festival includes a procession to the Triana district and a Holy Mass. The Encierros de Gor are described by the municipality of Gor as one of the oldest bull runs in Spain. They are traced back to the year 1622. The festival calendar therefore includes both a multi-day event in August and a single day in February with an eve programme. For the Encierros, the historical attribution to the year 1622 is retained, as is the designation by the municipality of Gor.
