Los Tablones is set in a landscape where natural areas and settled areas are closely intertwined. The Barranco de los Lagos runs along the eastern edge of the settled area and is an important natural feature that shapes Los Tablones. Its cumulative ascent is 555 metres, providing a concrete indication of the elevation challenge involved in this tour. A tourist route in Los Tablones also leads to the small Ermita de San Antonio. Romería, patron-saint festivities and local tradition

The cultural profile of Los Tablones is shaped in particular by its religious festivities. The traditional patron-saint festivities of Los Tablones honour San Antonio de Padua and Nuestra Señora la Inmaculada Concepción. They take place every year on the first weekend of September. The traditional Romería de Los Tablones reached its 18th edition and leads to the Ermita de San Antonio de Padua, the patron saint of Los Tablones. The route of the Romería de Los Tablones is just over three kilometres long. The Romería also includes a traditional communal paella. For visitors who wish to connect cultural events, a local route and shared food, several concrete elements of the same tradition come together closely here.

A time-documented cultural experience

The Belén Viviente is also part of the cultural heritage associated with Los Tablones. It was performed in a natural setting near Los Tablones. For Sunday, 22 December 2019, the traditional Belén Viviente was scheduled from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00. The performance was organised by the Asociación de vecinos San Antonio de Padua Los Tablones. The combination of a natural setting, local organisers and fixed times describes a distinct event format alongside the Romería.
