Semana Santa Chiquita is a child-friendly depiction of Holy Week in Puente Genil, held between the last week of April and the first week of May, reaching its culmination on 3 May.

Nature

Laguna de Tíscar has been protected as a nature reserve since 1984 and is part of the wetlands of southern Córdoba. It is a 13-hectare lagoon with saltwater or brackish water. At Laguna de Tíscar there is a publicly accessible observation centre that can be visited year-round for undisturbed birdwatching.

The Cordobilla Reservoir is a protected wetland with Paraje Natural protected status and receives the waters of the Genil, Anzur and Lucena rivers. Waders, herons and other waterbirds can be observed in the shallow waters of the Paraje Natural de Cordobilla.

The remains of an Iberian settlement approximately 2,500 years old can be found at Los Castellares. At Los Castellares, a rock gorge follows the course of the river and forms the shape of a meander. The rock gorge consists of calcarenite and contains many fossils of shellfish that lived in the sea around 15 to 20 million years ago.
