Brácana on the Río Genil

Nature and landscape

Brácana lies at the foot of the Sierra de Parapanda, and the Río Genil flows through the municipality. Where its course winds in meanders, distinctive landscapes with riverside forests emerge. Centuries-old tamarisks, ash trees, poplars and elms grow there. The old groups of trees accompany the river and give the riverside corridor a clearly defined landscape character.
