Nature and Trails
In the vicinity of Los Barrios, the marshes of the Palmones River are a resting area for thousands of birds.
The Valdeinfierno Trail passes through a canuto gallery forest; its first section is accessible to people with physical disabilities.
Since 15 May 2026, the Valdeinfierno Trail and the corresponding section of the Valdeinfierno Green Corridor have been temporarily closed to the public because of landslides on a slope that remains unstable.
The Municipal Tourist Office and the Los Alcornocales Information Point in Los Barrios provide guides to Los Alcornocales Nature Park and can arrange permits for routes there, where required.
For mountain biking, Los Barrios has a mountain bike centre with several routes.

Gardens and Landscape
Los Barrios’s first public botanical garden covers 17,500 m²; its displays feature a diverse mix of native and introduced plants, complemented by walking areas.
Betty Molesworth Botanical Park includes a 47,000 m² open meadow area freely available for public use, an artificial stream and four cascades.
Culture and History
The Antiguo PĂłsito del Trigo was built in 1768 and extended in 1779.
The restored Antiguo PĂłsito del Trigo is used as an exhibition hall and has a large barrel vault with lunettes.
The parish church of San Isidro Labrador is considered the most significant building in Los Barrios in terms of art and history, and was built in the first half of the 18th century.
Casa Urrutia houses the Los Barrios Natural History Museum.
The Los Barrios Natural History Museum displays 10,000 items from a collection of more than 50,000 objects, including fossils, minerals, shells, corals, insects, sands, Asian Buddhas and Asian vases.
Casa de la Cultura Isidro GĂłmez is now housed in a restored building and has two Andalusian courtyards and an elongated room with its original vault.
A permanent exhibition reconstructs rural life in Los Barrios at the beginning of the 20th century.
