Nature

San José del Valle is one of the municipalities within Los Alcornocales Nature Park. The Guadalcacín Reservoir is one of the landscapes in San José del Valle. History

In 1695, the Carmelites settled at the foot of Cerro del Águila. Cerro del Águila is now called Monte de la Cruz. The Carmelites named their monastery San José. This monastery name gave rise to the name San José del Valle. The Romería de San José is part of the intangible cultural heritage. This heritage is associated with San José del Valle.
