Prados de Armijo: Church, Festival and Hiking Trails
The Capilla de la Milagrosa is located in the Prados de Armijo district. The Iglesia de la Virgen Milagrosa in Prados de Armijo has a small altarpiece measuring 90 × 70 centimetres and featuring an image of the Nazarene. The altarpiece has carved angel heads on its sides; in its centre is an image of Christ.
Culture
The patronal celebrations of Prados de Armijo in honour of the Virgen Milagrosa have been held since 1941. The main patronal festival of Prados de Armijo in honour of the Virgen Milagrosa takes place on the weekend closest to 23 May. During the celebrations, the evenings with dance events alternate annually between La Solana and La UmbrÃa. The Virgin is carried in a procession to La UmbrÃa and then back to her church in La Solana. Remains of various civilisations, including Muslim remains, have been found in the area around Prados de Armijo.

The Sendero Olivo Milenario Fuentebuena Arroyo del Ojanco is accessible on horseback, on foot and by bicycle. At the junction of Prados de Armijo, the Sendero Olivo Milenario Fuentebuena Arroyo del Ojanco branches off; the Olivo de la Fuentebuena is located about 50 metres from the road. PR-BS-28 is a circular hiking route that begins in Prados de Armijo (La Solana) in the square in front of the church. During the first 1.5 kilometres, PR-BS-28 follows a path parallel to the Arroyo del Ojanco and then reaches the JA-9115.
PR-BS-30 is a circular hiking route through Prados de la Solana. PR-BS-30 climbs through olive groves to the Barranco de Cuadros and reaches an altitude of 1,110 metres. PR-BS-31 passes by the Arroyo del Ojanco and climbs via the track of the Barranco de Cuadros to the Cerro del Tomizo. Along the JA-9115, PR-BS-31 heads towards Prados de Armijo and ends in Prados de la UmbrÃa.
PR-BS-32 is a circular hiking route with an endpoint in Prados de la UmbrÃa. The route uses the JV-7007, passes over the Cerro de la Atalayuela and continues along the track at the Cerezuelo.
The route descriptions therefore mention different starting and reference points: PR-BS-28 begins at the church square and initially follows the Arroyo del Ojanco, while PR-BS-30 leads through Prados de la Solana and across olive groves to the Barranco de Cuadros. PR-BS-31 connects this landscape area with the Cerro del Tomizo and Prados de la UmbrÃa. For PR-BS-32, the JV-7007, the Cerro de la Atalayuela and the track at the Cerezuelo form part of the described route.
