Las Navas de la Concepción lies entirely within the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Nature Park. The town thus combines a clearly defined natural area with trails, historic traces and firmly established local events.

Nature

Its location in the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Nature Park defines the geographical setting of Las Navas de la Concepción. For visitors, the focus is above all on the landscape and the specific trail routes that connect the town with its surroundings.

Hiking Trails

The PR-A 412 circular hiking trail – Los Molinos de Ciudadeja – is 10.3 kilometers long and has a low level of difficulty. It begins at Plaza de España and leads through a gallery forest to the Ribera de Ciudadeja.

Along the route are historic hydraulic mills, dams and weirs. There are also buildings formerly used for grain milling, so in addition to the natural setting, the route preserves traces of the former use of water and mills.

Another circular hiking trail is the Vereda de Constantina–Camino del Túnel. This route is 9.88 kilometers long and also has a low level of difficulty. The trail can be used on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.

Thus, Las Navas de la Concepción has two circular trails documented under different names, each with its own length, starting point and route details. The information about the gallery forest, the Ribera de Ciudadeja, and the mills, dams and weirs makes the PR-A 412 traceable as a specific route within the nature park.

Festivals

A three-day fair dedicated to ecotourism and rural traditions takes place every year in March. The event has been held since 2005, combining an annual recurring date with a local tradition that has existed for several years.

The fair features equestrian demonstrations as well as falconry demonstrations involving the flight of birds of prey. March and the three-day duration are fixed details of this event.

Culture and Cuisine

The Ruins of the Armada are a point of interest in Las Navas de la Concepción. Toma de la Molineta is an area with hiking trails in Las Navas de la Concepción.

The local gastronomy is also part of the character of the town: Caldereta de venado is part of the cuisine of Las Navas de la Concepción.

The Romería de Nuestra Señora de Belén is celebrated on the third Sunday in August. The venue is the Ermita Nuestra Señora de Belén. The March fair and the August Romería thus represent two annual recurring events with different religious and tradition-related focuses, respectively.

Other linked places include Las Cañadillas, Villanueva Del Río Y Minas, San Nicolás Del Puerto, El Pedroso, Constantina, Castilblanco De Los Arroyos, El Ronquillo and El Castillo De Las Guardas.
